The first time my Thai Hubby had a burger was when he was 26 years old. He was in Bangkok hanging out with some farang (aka American) friends at a mall called Paragon, which when I walked into I felt like I had entered a modern-day palace and couldn’t believe it was just a mall.
My sweet little 8-month-old had a fever most of the week, so for most of the week my heart felt weighed down with a 500 pound barbell as I looked at her sad, droopy, big eyes that are usually playful and bright, and snuggled her listless body into my arms, which is usually crawling all over the house nonstop.
Before I went to Thailand, the farthest my seafood palate extended was fried fish sticks. Most American seafood tasted fishy and bland to me, eww!
